Eric Mobley is an Electrical Engineer for Sain Engineering Associates, Inc (SEA) where he provides energy consulting services to both private and federal clients. Eric’s career has been centered around building commissioning, energy auditing, computer programming, energy management, and project development.
Eric attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He later received a Master’s in Engineering with a concentration in Information Engineering and Management. He also is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Commissioning Provider, and holds a Niagara 4 Technical Certification.

 

He was selected as one of Birmingham Business Journal’s 2021 NextGen BHM winner. He also received a 2020 ASHRAE International Technology Award (which was published in the September 2020 ASHRAE journal), and won Project of the Year for his Region in 2022 and Young Energy Professional of the year in 2023. Unrelated to engineering, he received first prize in the 2020 National Federation of Music Clubs Piano Solo Composition Competition.
Eric is an active part in his community. He has served as president of the Birmingham Art Music Alliance which provides support for Alabama music composers and is also a member of UAB’s University Honors Program Council. He also provides workshops to primary school students in the local Birmingham area on circuits and electronics.
