Brenda Phillips is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sain Engineering Associates, Inc. (SEA), where she leads with over 40 years of experience in the energy and engineering sectors. As an award-winning licensed consultant, Brenda has overseen more than $1.5 billion in projects and guided the delivery of 10 million square feet of commissioned facilities. Her visionary leadership propelled SEA’s revenue increase by 22% and the company’s share price increase by 85% in just four years. During this same timeframe, she played a pivotal role in transitioning the company to 100% employee ownership.

As CEO, Brenda is responsible for overseeing all operational and strategic aspects of the company, including long-term planning, client relations, and business development. She leads cross-functional teams to ensure project success, manages the company’s financial health, and drives innovation across SEA’s energy consulting and sustainability services. Brenda is also the key architect behind SEA’s vision and mission, ensuring that the company's operations align with its core values and future growth.

Under her leadership, SEA has received numerous awards in energy security, water, and resilience planning and project oversite including the prestigious 2020 ASHRAE international innovation award for innovation building solutions in occupant comfort, indoor air quality and energy conservation.  Brenda holds a B.S. in Architecture from Texas Tech University and is a licensed architect in Alabama. Active in the professional community, she is a member of ASHRAE, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). She has also served on the U.S. Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program Planning Team for the Energy Exchange.
