Jason Brooks
Jason Brooks is an Energy Engineer for SEA. Mr. Brooks is a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Mr. Brooks has served in the Army and is now an officer in the Alabama National Guard. He joined SEA in 2009 after working for Southern Company’s Research and Environmental Affairs Department.
 
Mr. Brooks’ experiences includes analyzing HVAC systems on multiple energy management projects; including City-Multi/Daikin variable refrigerant flow systems, Trane/Carrier desiccant dehumidification systems, and Aaon air quality systems; monitoring efficiencies of heat pump water heaters, tank-less water heaters; and performing power/illumination monitoring on an assortment of lighting systems. He also has experience in installation and evaluation of testing equipment with the utilization of data acquisition systems and various monitors to assess heat transfer rates, thermodynamic performances, and flow rates; and developing models that illustrated their trends in performance and cost effectiveness.
