Chuck Effinger, CEM, CIAQP, LEED AP

Chuck Effinger

Chuck Effinger is the Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) for Headquarters - Air Force Materiel Command (HQ AFMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He assists the AFMC Energy Manager in efforts to reduce overall energy consumption and costs for nine AFMC bases and 6 additional remote facilities within the command. 

Prior to joining SEA at HQ AFMC, Chuck served as the Energy Conservation Engineer (ECE) at the GM Stamping Center in Parma, Ohio and the Senior Energy Manager at the Saint-Gobain glass container manufacturing plant in Dunkirk, IN.  In addition, he served as the (initial) Utility Savings Program Manager for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Chuck has significant experience developing and implementing energy-saving programs for public school districts, including Kentucky, Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska and California.  Chuck is a “Certified Energy Manager”, a “Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional” and is a LEED AP (Accredited Professional).  He earned a BSBA (Finance major) from the University of Louisville and an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Louisville Technical Institute.
