Tom Hykes is the Resource Efficiency Manager for the U.S. Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, Co. where he is working on the renewables, energy management, green power, and water management initiatives. The Academy has a student body of approximately 4,000 cadets who will become our future Air Force officers. Tom also works with the Dean of Faculty at the Academy to expose these cadets to renewable and energy efficient technologies. Tom has been the energy manager for Castle Air Force Base in California and the Air Force Academy for over 20 years before retiring in January 2007. Tom also had an electrical engineering consulting business in California. He graduated from California State University, Fresno, and is a registered Profession Engineer in the state of California.
